Overview

Spotlight is a personalized music news aggregation system that showcases curated music-related media based on users' listening patterns and musical preferences. Spotlight provides news regarding current favored artists/tracks as well relevant artists/tracks that a user is likely to be interested in based on their music consumption history, specifically in short-term periods.

Since Spotlight syncs with users' Spotify accounts, it can always bring users the content that is the most in line with their iterests while also pushing the boundaries of newfound interests and tastes. All users have to do is sign in with their Spotify account and Spotlight takes care of the rest.

Note on Design

Spotlight is designed with an minimalistic, clean design with a pure focus on functionality. Many aggregation sites tend to featured cluttered interfaces which distract from the goal of bringing the users the content they want. To combat this trend, Spotlight is just the user and the beautifully presented content.
